Manchester United Set to Sign German Striker Lea Schüller from the Bavarian Giants
The Women's Super League club are finalising sealing the deal for prolific German forward Lea Schüller in a permanent move away from Bayern Munich.
A Major Acquisition for the WSL Side
The forward, with half a year left on her contract, is known as a prolific goalscorer for her club and the national team. Having scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 caps for her country. This signing will be seen as a marquee coup for the WSL side.
Departure from Bayern has been anticipated after she appeared to be fighting back tears while applauding the club's supporters after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in late December that the German women's top flight was losing one of its top forwards. According to reports, all the paperwork for the transfer have now been completed.
Consistent Goalscoring to Strengthen the Attack
The experienced striker's signing is expected to provide a major boost to the team's forward line. She has been remarkably consistent with her finishing in the Bundesliga.
- Over seven consecutive seasons, up to and including the most recent campaign, she achieved at least a double-figures tally of league goals.
- She won the top scorer award in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.

The acquisition of the German international coincides with a period when the club seem to be gathering momentum.
Their recent performances feature securing a place in the Champions League knockout phase playoffs as a seeded team and a win in the League Cup quarter-finals.

- The new deal for Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, a popular figure since joining in 2023.
